How do I get started?
Book a New Patient Evaluation online in the Book a Visit section, or call us at (425) 477-9272. We verify your insurance before confirming your appointment.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We accept most major plans in Washington, including Premera, Regence, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, Medicare, Molina, First Choice Health, TriWest, and Kaiser Permanente. Some plans are booked through our partner network; you still see Dr. Yunis. Call us if you have questions about your plan or self-pay options.
Are visits online?
All new-patient evaluations are by secure video, from wherever you are in Washington. For follow-up visits, if video is not possible, Dr. Yunis may offer a phone visit with your consent. Coverage for phone visits depends on your insurance plan. Spravato® treatment sessions will take place in person at our treatment location, which is opening soon.
What are your hours?
Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm, Pacific Time. You can book online any time, and we confirm within 1 business day.
Where do clients need to be located?
You must be physically located in Washington State at the time of each visit.
Are my sessions confidential?
Yes. Peak Psychiatry and Wellness follows all HIPAA privacy regulations. Your information is not released without your written permission, except where the law requires it. If you would like us to share information with another provider or organization, you can sign a Release of Information form.
What is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner?
A PMHNP is an advanced practice nurse specializing in diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, including prescribing medication. PMHNPs take a holistic approach, considering how physical health, life circumstances and mental health affect one another.
What is Spravato®, and am I a candidate?
Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray for adults with treatment-resistant depression, and for adults with major depressive disorder with acute suicidal thoughts or actions when used with an oral antidepressant. Adults whose depression hasn’t improved after at least two antidepressant trials may be candidates. Learn more.
What is GeneSight® testing?
GeneSight is a cheek-swab test that looks at genetic variations affecting how your body processes certain psychiatric medications. Results give your provider more information when choosing or adjusting medications. Learn more.
What should I do in a crisis?
We do not provide emergency care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
